ASAP/J is one of the scholarly publications of the Association for the Study of the Arts of the Present, dedicated to exploring developments in post-1960s art including writing, plastic and visual arts, digital arts, music and sound art, performance, architecture and design, mixed media and intermedia arts.

“Sounding Predation” was designed to accompany the essay “Poetic Voice and Materiality / Voice Metabolized: Sounding Predation in Douglas Kearney’s The Black Automaton” by Sally Hansen, which was published in November, 2023.
